Information on the Rights of the work.

  • As an artist who creates digital content I have all rights to my work by copyright law.
  • If you wish to buy my work for personal use, please, do not try to resell it or give it away (except when you want to gift it to a certain person), or make any changes to it without my consent. Do not remove my signature or watermark. Commercial use of such commissions is prohibited.
  • If you want to commission me for a commercial work, I will sell you the rights to my work (meaning, you can do with it as you wish) for an additional price. I will also remove all watermarks and signatures if required.

Payment

  • I accept $USD via PayPal.

Declining a commission request

  • I have a right to decline your commission request without explaining the reason.

My Work Process

  • I will accept a commission after a client sends me the initial payment of 50% of the total commission’s price. (The full payment upfront is also acceptable.) The rest is paid after I finish working on the commission and it is accepted by the client.
  • I will contact the client when I have a WIP sketch for feedback. * For non animated commissions it is a general pose and flat color. For animations it is a flat color or line animation without details.
  • I will send the client several WIPs (work in progress screenshots) of the work to ask for feedback, update on progress.
  • When I finish the work, I present it to my client in full size as well as scaled up/ down/ cropped if required. Usually it is a PNG/GIF file, but I can send a PSD file if needed.

Feedback and references

  • In order to do a commission that will satisfy the client I need as much detailed information about it as possible before I start working on it.
  • Give me references with characters, example images, make a description of the pose and color palette preferences, etc.
  • Please provide me feedback when I ask for it. I will generally ask for it at every major step (sketch/shapes or lines, flat color, details and polish).
  • I will wait for feedback before proceeding to work on the commission. The client can also specifically point out that I may proceed without waiting for feedback.

Deadlines

  • I generally work without strict deadlines. But I usually finish my work within one week for smaller commissions and within one month for big complex commissions.
  • If a client needs some work to be done ASAP, this client pays an extra fee for the rush.

Revisions

  • I accept any revisions in the early stage of work (WIP sketch).
  • The revisions as a result of a client’s feedback are accepted during the late stages of work, but I can ask for an additional hourly payment. *This concerns big changes with hours of work required. For smaller adjustments no additional fee required.
  • The revisions after the work is finished and approved by the client are only accepted for an additional price.
  • If the revision is caused by the client’s/my misunderstanding (which can happen, we’re all human after all), I am sure we can arrive to mutual agreement.

Shipping

  • I do not ship my works.

Cancellation

  • If a client wants to cancel the commission there are several ways it can be done:
  • Cancel a commission before I started working on it: the client gets a full refund.
  • Cancel on the WIP sketch stage: a refund is usually possible. It will cost the client a cancellation fee of 20% of the full commission.
  • Cancel on the late stages of work (color, details refinement): a refund size is decided depending on the work-hours I have spent on the commission.
  • Cancel after I finished the work: please, do not expect to be refunded. This is a price for my time, effort and resources spent on your commission.

If I cancel the commission I will have serious reason to do so, such as:
  • illness;
  • personal emergencies;
  • disagreement with a client that cannot be solved through civilized dialogue.

In these cases I will try to refund the full price of the work if possible.

Confidentiality

  • A client can ask for all the work regarding the commission to be kept confidential. I will strictly follow the non-disclosure terms if required. Please, inform me about this beforehand.

Final Agreement

  • All articles of this Terms of Service Agreement are applicable unless specifically outlined within the final discussion between Client and Artist.

Acceptance of Agreement

  • By contacting and paying me for work you are hereby agreeing to the terms expressed above.
